AutoCAD 2007 introduced a centralized External References Manager which also takes over (is mapped to) the standard IMAGE and XREF commands. If you want to use the old classic dialogs of these two commands, you can use the commands CLASSICIMAGE and CLASSICXREF respectively.

The commandline versions -IMAGE and -XREF are not influenced.
