You can download all CAD blocks directly from your AutoCAD, without logins and any limitations.
See the add-on application Block Catalog for AutoCAD 2013 and higher and the add-on application BIM-Families (now in Revit Tools) for Revit 2015 and higher.

The DWG-version problem (not valid file, invalid file, drawing not valid, cannot open) can be solved by the Tip 2869.
