Q - question

Select 3D solids by their height, volume, surface (smaller then...)

A - answer The freeware utility Sel3Dsol can be used to automatically select resp. filter 3D solids in an AutoCAD DWG drawing. You can select all solids higher or smaller then given height (from-to), larger or smaller then given volume or surface area, or "slender" solids - which are taller then wider (or vice-versa).

You can use the command SEL3DSOL to create a new selection set, or enter 'SEL3DSOL as a filter anywhere AutoCAD prompts to "Select objects:". So you can e.g. select and erase or color all small or all large solid objects in AutoCAD.

You download the LISP utility SEL3DSOL from Download, load it e.g. with APPLOAD and run it by typing the SEL3DSOL command.
