The freeware utility by Arkance Systems - TrimArr - allows you to trim a dynamic rectangular or polar array of AutoCAD elements (ARRAY) to a specified boundary (an arbitrary closed curve). It is possible to retain those array elements which are located fully or partially inside the boundary, or those elements outside the boundary or along the boundary. Unlike CLIPIT it clips full elements.
The array remains dynamic, so you can change its parameters and repeat the clipping. It is possible to return to the uncropped version of the array (the Reset option).
The cropping also respects any individually moved, deleted or replaced elements of the dynamic array and it is independent of these changes. Selecting ARRAYEDITRestore only restores these individual edits, not the changes made by TrimArr.
See sample usage:
TrimArr can be used as an alternative to hatching.
Download TrimArr from Download, load it into your AutoCAD with the APPLOAD command and run it by typing the command TRIMARR.
