Q - question

AutoCAD 2025 is not displaying some fonts correctly.

A - answer In the paragraph text editor (MText), AutoCAD 2025 does not correctly display some TTF fonts, usually the more complex, "curly" fonts, scripts. Or it may swap individual segments of your texts or display them reversed.

AutoCAD 2025 uses a higher level of hardware acceleration for graphics display. If your graphics card does not fully support the DirectX 12 graphics mode, this incompatibility of your card (or its driver) may result a.o. in incorrect selection of the displayed font (Arial is displayed instead of the selected font).

Try the following:

  • Upgrade your graphics card's Windows driver
  • In the GRAPHICSCONFIG command, try to decrease the acceleration level for 2D display from "Advanced" to "Medium advanced"
  • Disable the DX12 mode in AutoCAD - by setting the GFXDX12 variable to 0

(do not disable hardware acceleration - this would slow down your AutoCAD)
