JavaScript API support in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT.
A - answer The Application Programming Interface (API) for JavaScript in AutoCAD (since version 2014) and AutoCAD LT (since version 2024) enables you to perform in-canvas user interface activities, manipulate current zoom, and implement out-of-canvas user interface dialogs using HTML5.

The current version of the JavaScript API is V4 (as of 4/2024). The documentation can be found in the Developer Guide. See also development limitations in version AutoCAD LT.

Examples of freeware applications using the AutoCAD JavaScript API are the tools developed by ARKANCE - UnitsConverter or Mesh-In (see Tips and Downloads).
